As a parent, sometime you don’t know does your baby need supplement or not. The true is everything depend to the condition of your baby, is your baby accept breast milk or formula milk from birth, she/he born in normal condition or premature, and she/he has health abnormality etc. If your baby born premature or has certain health problem, you can consultation to pediatrician does your baby need supplement or not. Later when she/he grows up and begins to consume more types of food, a pediatrician usually will evaluate further does she/he need supplement. For healthy baby and in the period of breast-feeding, some people say a baby doesn’t need a supplement but other say if she/he needs supplement then you must give her/him vitamin D – 400 IU everyday with reason if your baby doesn’t get enough vitamin D intake through breast milk. They that agree about a baby needs additional vitamin D for baby that in period of breast-feeding, it different with a baby that from beginning consume formula milk, she/he no need additional of vitamin D because  usually this element is contained in formula baby.
