Rickets happens because the lack of vitamin D in the body. The lack of vitamin D will cause the calcium content and phosphate in the blood decrease and then will cause the bone disease. As we know that vitamin D has a function to absorb the calcium from intestine. So, when the body less of vitamin D, so calcium can’t be absorbed from intestine that cause hypocalcaemia (the lack of calcium in the blood) in adult and at the end will cause deformity (form abnormality) from the bone and teeth also other symptom such as the convulsions, impaired growth and limp. Whereas the children, the lack of vitamin D will cause rickets.
